Project
The project involves the construction of the wastewater treatment plant for the city of Ben Guerdane and the transfer systems for raw and treated wastewater. The plant comprises a water treatment line and a sludge treatment line: The effluent line comprises:
- 2 circular grit chambers
- 2 aeration tanks,
- 2 secondary clarifiers
The sludge line comprises:
- Sludge pumping station
- 1 scraped and raked thickener
- 12 drying beds
This is a plant with a daily flow rate of 5,200 m³/day and a BOD₅ pollutant load of 2,720 kg/day, equivalent to approximately 50,370 population equivalents. The treatment process is low-load activated sludge with ‘extended aeration’ The main components of the plant are: 2 circular grit chambers, 2 aeration tanks, 2 secondary clarifiers, 1 thickener, 12 drying beds, a sludge return station using an Archimedes screw, sand filters and a UV treatment unit.
For the raw wastewater transfer system, this involves the installation of 6 km of HDPE DN 500 pipework, along with the construction of a pumping station with a capacity of 150 L/s.
Our mission
This involves providing support for the supervision of construction works, final inspection and commissioning. The services include:
- Verification of the contractor’s construction drawings;
- Assistance with the supervision of works;
- Assistance with the final inspection of structures and equipment
