Project
The project to upgrade and extend the drinking water supply system for the city of Zinder and its surrounding areas (735,000 inhabitants by 2035) comprises:
- Electromechanical equipment for five (5) existing boreholes;
- Construction and fitting out of a pumping station with a capacity of 900 m³/h (3 x 300 m³/h + 1 standby); Head: 175 m; power: 3 x 200 kW;
- Construction of a semi-buried reservoir with a capacity of 3,000 m³;
- Supply and installation of approximately 27.8 km of ductile iron pressure pipes, with diameters ranging from DN 100 mm to DN 300 mm, between the five (5) boreholes and the pumping station;
- Supply and installation of a DN 400 mm C30 ductile iron pressure pipe over approximately 0.8 km, between the intake station and the 3,000 m³ water reservoir at the entrance to the town of Zinder;
- Supply and installation of approximately 20 km of PVC PN 10 distribution network with diameters ranging from OD 110 mm to OD 315 mm;
- Overhead power supply to the five (5) new boreholes;
- Implementation of a remote management system and its integration with the existing system.
