PROJECT TO IMPROVE THE RATE OF DRINKING WATER SERVICE IN THE RURAL ENVIRONMENT OF BIZERTE GOVERNORATE

The project aims to improve the rate of drinking water supply to rural populations in the Governorate of Bizerte. The expected objective is to strengthen the existing water supply system with sustainable resources and achieve a rate of 97.2% by 2040 (currently 89.3%). Ultimately, the target population is 175,000 inhabitants (in 2040) spread over 675 localities. To this end, a transfer of water resources from the Joumine and Sejnane dams and the construction of a primary network and a secondary network are planned to cover during the first (priority) phase the needs of 20 groups. rural (population 18,200 inhabitants).

The components of the project are:

Primary structure:

  • Raw water treatment station from the Sejnane and Joumine dams: 500 l/s;
  • Network with a diameter ranging from Ø 1,000 mm to 100 mm in ductile iron: 300 km;
  • Storage tanks with capacities ranging from 250 m³ to 5,000 m³: 11 tanks;
  • Pumping stations with power 50 kw to 550 kw: 13 pumping stations;

Secondary structure:

  • Network with a diameter ranging from 200 mm to 90 mm in HDPE: 200 km;
  • Storage tanks with capacities ranging from 50 m³ to 500 m³: 16 tanks;
  • Pumping stations with power 2 kW to 20 kW: 17 pumping stations;

Our mission

  • Examination, verification and validation of Detailed Preliminary Project studies;
  • Assistance to the Project Management Unit in coordinating activities relating to the project;
  • Establishment and review of Apple Bid Files for the different 28 contract packages;
  • Examination of offers and assistance with the award of contracts;
  • Administrative and financial management of markets;
  • Verification, examination and validation of execution studies;
  • Monitoring and supervision of works;
  • Control and reception of supplies and equipment (in factories and in storage parks);
  • Monitoring physical and financial progress and schedules,
  • Overall management of supplies stocks;
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, detailed and final progress reports for the project;
  • Assistance during tests and provisional and final acceptance of the work
