Development of 416 ha of irrigated areas in Kangaba

Project

The project includes:

• The construction or rehabilitation of 10 dams composed of either a concrete threshold, or an earth dike associated with a gabion spillway;
• The development of 416 ha of irrigated perimeters downstream the dams, including:
  • The clearing and the leveling of the areas to develop;
  • Building a network of secondary canals paved with concrete, and tertiary earth canals;
  • The construction of a network of secondary and tertiary drains;
  • The construction and equipment of flow control and diverter structures;
  • The provision of motor pumps;
  • The construction of a track network;
• The construction of 10 access tracks, with a total length of 46 km.
