Project
Hydraulic and agricultural development of the Chouigui irrigation area, located approximately 7 km north-west of Tebourba, currently irrigated by gravity and covering approximately 1,600 ha. This is a project to modernise the networks in order to replace them with buried pressurised pipes, enabling irrigators to switch to water-saving techniques. The works include:
- A water intake on the Laaroussia dam (Q = 1.5 m³/s);
- A pumping station;
- A sedimentation treatment plant;
- Two distribution stations: one for the lower level (head 100 m) and one for the upper level (head 125 m);
- Two semi-buried reservoirs with a capacity of 13,000 m³;
- 20 km of reinforced concrete pipes;
- A HDPE High-Density Polyethylene distribution network covering 1,600 ha;
- A sewerage and drainage network;
- A network of farm tracks
