Project
This project is part of DAWASA’s urban water supply modernisation programme. It aims to improve drinking water services for about 450,000 residents through a more reliable supply, a strengthened network and additional storage capacity, in the wards of Bangulo, Kipunguni, Kitunda, Kisopwa and Mzinga (Magole and Mwanagati), among others.
The main works are: a transmission main of about 10.75 km in mild steel (mainly DN700) between the Kibamba pumping station and the new Bangulo reservoir, with a new booster station at Kibamba; a 9,000 m³ reinforced concrete service reservoir at Bangulo; distribution mains in steel (DN250 to DN700) and PVC (DN200) to the served wards; and secondary uPVC distribution networks (DN75 to DN200).
Our mission
- supervision of all works (reservoir, pipelines, pumping station) and verification of their compliance with contractual requirements, technical standards and local regulations;
- design review and technical validation of studies and drawings, with optimisation recommendations;
- quality control and assurance: materials testing, site instructions and non-conformance reports;
- technical and contractual administration: monitoring of pipe laying and reservoir construction, management of variations and claims, verification of payment certificates;
- monitoring of environmental and social compliance and of health and safety measures (audits, toolbox talks);
- organisation and supervision of testing, commissioning and hand-over to the Client.
