Training center for Tunisian border guards in Nefta

On 17 November, the Tunisian Minister of the Interior, Kamel Fekih, his Austrian counterpart, Gerhard Karner, and the Danish Minister of Immigration and Integration, Kaare Dybad Bek, inaugurated the new training centre for Tunisian border guards in Nefta, near the border with Algeria. The training centre has been set up with the support of Austria, Denmark and the Netherlands, and is designed to strengthen Tunisia's border guards.

SCET-TUNISIE, in a consortium with Architect Chaker ZAYATI (lead partner) and Architect Mohamed CHELLY, has been carrying out the studies and monitoring of the construction work for the Nefta inter-agency training centre in the Governorate of Tozeur on behalf of the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) from March 2021 to November 2023
