Project
Development of a road transport master plan for Chad for the 2020–2030 period, to contribute to the country’s socio-economic development by improving sector infrastructure and services. The study covers the assessment of the 2011–2020 National Transport Strategy, the estimation of road transport demand to 2030 and the corresponding supply, road investment and maintenance programmes, the financing plan and institutional arrangements.
Our mission
- assess the implementation of the 2011–2020 National Transport Strategy (18 action plans), draw lessons and make recommendations.
- establish a diagnosis of the road transport sector (regional integration, growth poles).
- develop the national road transport master plan (investment, maintenance, costs, financing) with two action plans for 2020–2024 and 2025–2030.
- prepare the sector policy letter and propose the necessary reforms for surface transport.
- develop an urban transport master plan for N’Djamena, Abéché, Moundou and Sarh.
- organise a validation workshop in N’Djamena and prepare the terms of reference and cost of a donors’ round table.
Deliverables: the sector policy letter, the summary and the road transport master plan, with road investment and maintenance programmes costed annually from 2020 to 2030.
